Struggling to get vehicle claim finalised
One of our Company vehicles were involved in an incident in Dec 2023. Another vehicle reversed into our vehicle and knocked our vehicle on the side. We took the vehicle in for a quote which was just under R40000. Miway informed me where to take the vehicle and only authorised R14400. I asked them why it differs so much and Nthabeleng ( our caseworker) told me that if there are any additional work the panel beaters will load it on the system. Last week Thursday the panel beater phoned us vehicle is ready. We asked then if they fixed the misalignment in the back bumper and front bonnet of the vehicle to which they stated no. They only fixed the dent in the vehicle. So when the vehicle was hit it moved about a meter to the side and with the impact there was a misalignment on both front and back. The panel beater came back to us saying they see what we mean and our photos clearly indicate this. So why wasn't it picked up with their stripping and assessment of damage. Or why was the assessor actually never there from Miway to inspect the vehicle. Its now been a week of emails back and forth as the additional work has not been approved. Apparently its at the Manager to make a decision. Tshepiso (vehicle assessor miway) would have given me feedback by COB yesterday which did not happen. Meanwhile the car is standing at the panel beaters
