****** and Recovered vehicle
I would like to take this opportunity and share my extreme disappointment and disgust with MiWay's service.
This first started a while back, when, after 6 months of paying on time consistently we still had a flag against our account for an Early Debit Order collection. This debit order went off early on the account even after we had asked for it to go off month end, and by so doing it bounced as there was insufficient funds in the account.
I then called in, and asked for the debit order to be moved to the 7th of every month which I later changed to the 1st of every month.
Since that has happened, our account in this month alone has been debited 3 times. The 1st order went through with the correct amount of R2,6k and then later in the month, on the 7th August a debit order of R2,1k went off on the account (which bounced, due to insufficient funds whilst charging R100 in banking fees). We then sent through evidence that proved that, this was a second debt order and we received the R100.
Last week, the 3rd debit order in one month went off again on the 17th August for R2,1k (which bounced, due to insufficient funds whilst charging R100 in banking fees) and we again sent the evidence for this transaction. NB: This second R100 has still not been returned even after I got the message that it would be returned.
This alone is just horrible service to say the least, and as if that wasn't enough more terrible service was to follow...in one month.
Last week on the 16th my vehicle got ******, and it was recovered on the 17th. Then on the 18th August, I called in and asked for the courtesy vehicle. I then explained to the gentleman, that I would like for someone else to drive the vehicle as I had lost my license when the vehicle got ******.
On Saturday, when I got a call from Desmond (Avis) this had not been arranged compelling me to call into MiWay again to have this sorted out. I was then assured that an email, had been sent to Avis and I could go collect the vehicle only to arrive there and there was no booking.
Yesterday, I then managed to confirm a booking with Desmond again for collection of the vehicle at 3:30pm. We then arrived at 4:20pm to collect the vehicle, only to be told by Avis that the booking was cancelled at 3:25pm as per MiWay's instruction. No communication to me as a client, non whatsoever...???
Now, I have to call in again to find out what the issue is...and walla, "Unpaid Premium".
Now, I would like to ask: * How many times has our account been debited this month, including the erroneous debits? * Was our actual debit order of R2,6k successful? * Is our account in good standing order? * Why was it not communicated to us that the booking with Avis had been cancelled, and the reason provided?
This is beyond ridiculous service, and shocking to say the least that how can a client that has been with you for so long suffer in such a way from this terrible service.
You have caused us a huge inconvenience, because not only are we flagged at the ITC due to the bounced debit orders which should not have happened but we also have been inconvenienced from being mobile. This after we have suffered from an incident of a ****** vehicle.
As if this was not enough, this has continued to be an extremely painful and terrible experience that I never would have imagined I would experience at Miway's hands after being a loyal client for so long (that is if you still consider me as one!).
I'm yet to receive a call from Wayne after having both spoken to Kefiloe telephonically on the 05th, as well as via email as indicated on the thread on the 07th. This is also after a call from Estuan on the 08th, who categorically stated that I need to make a decision or else I "the client" would need to take matters into my own hands and I'm not sure if that is a threat or not.
Currently there are two matters that are hanging in the balance, that which touches on the Code of Salvage act, as well as that of Miway saying that I prejudiced them by not informing them of the change in parking location of the car and how the latter matter has resulted in Miway feeling the need to punish me (rather than penalise) with a 32,9% charge on the repair cost of the car which would result in me paying a staggering 60% of the repair costs.
Whilst we are on matter number 2, could I get the break down of how you got to this 32,9% and which alternative options were explored?
At this point, Sieghard Iske; Kefiloe Sehlapelo and team intervened and ensured that I get sorted out with a loan vehicle but also with waving away the 32,9% punishment fee.
I then agreed to have the vehicle fixed, little did I know what I was getting myself into...the vehicle took 2 and a half months to be considered "fixed": 14 September 2017 - 27 November 2017.
PS: Repairers name - ReNew IT Rivonia
I can confirm the following discrepancies that I have picked up, over the 4 weeks that the vehicle has been back in my possession: "in no particular order"
1. One set of keys is not recognised by the system, as well as unable to start the vehicle and shows the error: "Key not found"; 2. The engine cover has been broken, and flaps when accelerating; 3. The vehicle makes a whistling sound, and no...it's not the Vrrr Pha sound...I know the difference; 4. The service book is missing; 5. Radio was not set when the vehicle was handed back over to me; 6. Aircon switch light is dysfunctional, and there is a sound when it gets switched on *Please note that the Aircon was tempered with as part of fixing it, despite this being a high risk on my life from a safety perspective. This was communicated to MiWay, but was ignored... 7. The bright lights do not come on at night, leaving the car with just normal lighting which is also a high safety risk on my life 8. The left LED lights are not working 9. For the set of keys that works, one has to turn the key ignition off twice in order to pull the key out...in this country of high crime I should think that is also a safety and security risk on my life; 10. The car came back with a torn floor, the part on the driver's side under the carpet; 11. Missing string at the back, that holds the lid of the boot; 12. Creased and rusted wheel joints, giving an indication that there was no form of maintenance done on the vehicle whilst it was at the repairer's workshop; 13. the car was handed back with the smell of sweating wreaking havoc to one's nostrills, a smell that is still there 4 weeks later
Surely, this is not the kind of service that MiWay stands for...particularly one that causes such inconvenience and disdain!
I have completely lost faith in MiWay against this claim
By initially asking MiWay to write off the vehicle, I was trying to avoid such but felt powerless at the time they declined this request only for all these event to take place and cause such a burden of emotions that are unwarranted since MiWay is meant to be a vehicle that gives its clients peace of mind
