Sky high premium

I was with miway before then I opted for another as I couldn't be offered a better offer so a year in with my current insurer I decided to try for another quotation and I really felt as if they were chasing me up the mountains, for a 2013 Audi A3 1.4tfsi I was paying close to R1700 but when I quoted I was given a premium of R8000 the agent couldn't explain it to me either this really did leave me in shambles as I really wanted to have them as my preferred insurer again but a premium that high for this car doesn't make sense
