Shoddy claims process

I logged a claim under my Micombo policy via the call centre and I spoke to claims advisor by the name of Nkosana Mbokazi on 8 November 2021. A couple of days later Nkosana advised me that my claim was being rejected because the assessment came to an amount of over R7000 which is over the annual claim limit of R5000 for that specific policy. Nkosana future went to explain that I had two options to remedy my problem, I either claim from my comprehensive insurance or I go to my own panel beater and get a quotation and it’s less then R5000 I can submit the quotation to them.

I opted to go to my panel beater and advised Ms Nkosana that I had gotten three different quotations of which I submitted the lowest quote which was R3852,60. During our conversations Nkosana advised that any approved claim would be subjected to an excess of R350 which I was ok with.

After I submitted the quote mentioned above Nkosana advised that it was submitted and was approved and that I would need to sign a disclaimer, which I received and signed however, I noted that the amount on the disclaimer and what was paid was not R3502,60 (R3852,60-R350) instead I was paid an amount of R3311.93 which I don’t understand as that would mean I was paid out R3661.93 (R3311.93+350). I spoke to Nkosana yesterday to get clarity on the matter however, I was did not getting a clear explanation so I asked to her to request that the assessor or her manager contact to explain how they got to that amount Nkosana rep**** me to via email that her supervisor will not be calling me as I had already signed the disclaimer and that they no longer involved in the process! I mean what company allows their employees to speak to their clients in that manner???

Can someone please explain to me how this claim was paid out because, wow!
