Service Failure

On the 23 October my car was in an accident. I called in reported the matter. I received an sms telling me who would pick up my car and their details. The car was towed and i subsequently received two sets of emails, one giving me the claim number and the other on Monday morning informing me who would assist with the claims process, a person by the name of Keabetsoe Moroenyane, at this point I was impressed. The chat service was also helpful when filling out the claim form online. Unfortunately that was the last I heard anything from Miway. I had to figure out myself how to organise car hire, I've had to constantly call the contact centre to find out details about my car. The person I was told would be in touch with me within 2 - 3 working days never bothered to contact me nor return my calls. What does a person have to do to get serviced? Such high effort I've had to put in to get information that is due to me. Today is day 5 I've called in so many times I've lost count requesting service! Two days into "validation", if the lack of communication is anything to go by how do I even know this is indeed being done? When will I get feedback?

Olga did call to apologise and it was authorised. However now the panel beater assigned to me, proline panelbeaters, has been a complete let down. I had to call them initially in order to get feedback but after that I must applaude the constant sms feedback. They had me down as a Mr instead of a Miss, I think I should have taken that as the first indication of the lack of attention to detail. On Friday the 11th of November they called to say the my vehicle was ready for pick up and that I had to pick it up on Friday. I dropped everything at work, dropped off the rental and rushed because I was told I had to be there before 5pm. I get there and was naturally excited by the thought of having my vehicle back. I paid the excess, signed a form and finally got to see my vehicle, at first glance everything seemed ok so I left with it. I got home and when I was marvelling at it, I started to notice that the shade of red on the bumper didn't match the rest of the car, the chrome finish on the passenger side wasn't assembled properly, there were yellow paint splashes on the drivers side mirror and door, the wheel on the top drivers side didn't have the black nut vw covers, i actually don't know what the proper name is (I later found them inside the car, I didn't understand why they weren't on the wheel, i tried to put them back but some don't fit, how?), there's a part when you open the bonnet that I think cracked during the collision that's still cracked. The work looks like I asked a back street second grade panelbeater to fix my car, such poor workmanship and this vehicle supposedly went through quality control. I missed these things the first time because my eyes aren't trained to look for them but I love my car and I would eventually notice. 1. I don't understand how they are vw approved, do they have such low service standards that they licence everybody. How does a vw approved panelbeaters not know what shade of red on the 2015 polo vivo and how do they not know how to properly put the chrome bar?? 2. How does a reputable company such as Miway take their "valued" customer vehicles to such an establishment? I don't know what checks you do on panelbeaters but by judging from their Hello Peter reviews I don't understand why you still use them. I called Miway and was told to return the car but now how do I get to work? How do I trust them again with it when they couldn't even get it right the first time? What else is wrong with my vehicle that I haven't seen? I have so many unanswered questions and generally exhausted by this whole process. It seems like when one starts working another falls apart.
