ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE NIGHTMARE IN JHB!

Only giving one star since zero is not applicable.

I had a flat tyre issue on Sunday afternoon. Called Miway to dispatch someone to assist as roadside assistance. The person's name was Dominic from First Help. The person arrived within 20 minutes which was great. However, he did not wear a mask, sat in my car for shade, observed ZERO social distance and even asked to use my phone! Furthermore, he INSISTED that I had hit a pothole when I CLEARLY told him I did not, and that all I heard was my tyre pop. He said that the N3 South in JHB had many potholes and as such I must have hit one with force.

He then INSISTED that my car's suspension was BENT which it was NOT AT ALL! He then made me get authorisation to get my car towed. He did not indicate as he drove me and my car to the test centre, he swayed into the next lane for the entire drive and I felt SO UNSAFE! He also noted on his invoice that I was in a MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT?? He insisted I get the 'bent suspension' fixed as it was supposedly 'for my own safety'. I was forced to cancel my plans for the week and remain in Johannesburg at my own cost while my car had to go through a claims process. (EVEN THE MECHANICS AT THE TEST CENTRE LAUGHED AT THE NOTION OF A BENT SUSPENSION, and they themselves said that I was getting ****med. The helped me pump my flat tyre and I was on my way!) Had I not gone in to check my car out and get it released the next day by cancelling the claim - I would have had to pay R7250 in excess!

Secondly, MIWAY - upon going to get my car released, I had to call MiWay 5 or 6 times to send my release letter to me. Nobody called me back, I had to wait over an hour to get my release letter! Upon my last call, a gentleman named Bongani had immediately sent it to me while on the phone. Previous calls resulted in "the manager needs to sign the release notice and we will send it to you within 5 minutes". This happened over and over despite me saying I desperately needed to leave! To date NOBODY HAS CALLED ME TO CLEAR ANY OF THIS UP! All the calls I made to Miway are recorded, so please have a listen Miway.

I am beyond shocked. The expenses I had to go into because of MiWay were unnecessary! Contracting someone of such calibre to make money off an innocent person?! I will be changing my insurance and informing everyone I know of this!!!!
