R1000 challenge is too much of a challenge

MiWay advertises a R 1000-00 if they cannot beat your current premium. In the first couple of minutes of the call I stated that I was insured through Discovery Insure. MiWay did not have a problem with that and after I spent almost an hour and a half on the phone, I finally got the the part where they give me a premium. I got transferred to a team leader who informed me that comparing with Discovery Insure would not be like for like, as you get the fuel reward. I explained to him, I will not take the fuel reward into consideration, I will only be looking at the premium. He apologised and said I cannot have the R 1000-00 as advertised. <br> <br> Why then does my MiWay not flag the quotation when they enter previous insurer as Discovery Insure, rather than wasting my time. I received a quotation via e-mail from MiWay which showed that only the vehicles came close to my premium, this excluded the building, householders and All Risk items. I understand why the team leader said they could not pay the R 1000-00, because in my case they would have had too pay it. Nice way of getting out of it, the excuse just before the premium.
