Poor Assessment Causing Frustration
I am extremely disappointed in Miway because they used GW TEch, a subpar service provider, as the assessor for my refrigerator claim. Because they overlooked the fact that a component on my refrigerator's PC board was damaged by a power surge, the GW Tech team was unable to produce a report that was accurate. They insisted that there was nothing wrong with the refrigerator and that there was no sign of the explosion on any components, but I insisted that there was an explosion sound coming from the back of the refrigerator. I called a nearby technician for a second opinion after they had already left, and he discovered that one of the PC Board components had exploded or burned. I called a nearby technician for a second opinion after they had already left, and he discovered that one of the PC Board components had exploded or burned. The private technician confirmed that power surges are a factor because recently, due to load shedding, our electricity supply frequency has not been stable.
I became concerned about this but made the decision to wait for the insurance to accept my claim. To my surprise, GW TECH's report claimed that WEAR & TEAR was the cause of my refrigerator's issues; they made no mention of the PC Board component's explosion. This is unfair because I could easily become an assessor overnight and produce a report that is inadequate.
The gist of my complaint is that Miway is *****ing from and oppressing me as a devoted customer for more than a decade by using GW Tech, and now I find myself disputing their report because they provided a subpar assessment. To get a private technician to come out and show me a part on the refrigerator, I had to pay a call-out fee of R450.
Best regards,
The MiWay Team
