Once I receive the damage report from the Service Provider I will review and contact you with feedback.
With regards to the assessor, they advised they closed there offices in East London and when I assigned them to the claim it showed there details for East London. They did not send a travel cost approval so their assessment fees will not be very high and this will also not affect your policy in any way nor will it have any negative effects on the damage report.
Kind regards,
Nivar Singh

Good day Nivar,
The assessor was here, took photos and he will provide you with a report, he advised me that the roof needs maintenance and he won’t be able to approve the claim, I didn’t discussed anything with him regarding this claim, because I've explained to you the situation, when I logged this claim I advised Miway that it is an old roof, my claim is not regarding the maintenance of the roof but it’s because of the wind that damaged the roof and now it’s leaking in when it is raining, Before the damage there was no leak so my claim can’t be assessed on the age of the roof or the maintenance of the roof but rather on the damage that was caused to the roof because of the heavy wind, he showed me the pictures from the roof and there are damaged asbestos, parts of the roof is loose, etc and that’s because of the heavy wind, I'm not requesting miway to approve my claim and then someone should come and do maintenence on my roof, no, that is not what my claim was about and that is why I kept quiet and didn't discuss anything with the assessor, I`m the one responsible for the maintenance of the roof, but I can only do it once the damages has been fixed, also
The assessor came from PE, that's about more than 300kms from where I'm staying and the assessor that are situated in East London was cancelled, is miway going to pay the assessor(from PE) all the costs that will be charged(from them), how will it affect my claim, my installments to the policy and the future of my policy with you, will it reflect on my policy that someone had to drive over 300kms to do an assessment? lastly
I`ve been a loyal customer of Miway as from 2016/2017, I had received a lot of offers from other insurance companies that promised me that I will pay a lessor instalment for the same benefits/more then what Miway is offering currently, I still get calls from them, but I`ve always been happy with Miway and I won't go to another insurance organization even though they promised me that they can do better then you, I`ve been loyal to you and I believe that you can do the same when assessing this claim once you receive feedback from the assessor,
Please escalate this matter to a higher authority if needed, because I believe that what I`ve stated in the email/claim is a true reflection of what the situation is,
Thank You,
Johan Jacobs

Hi,
Regarding the above mentioned claim, the assessors from Port Elizabeth is already on their way, they are halfway to East London so I think you are going to have to cancel the assessors from East London, because 2 assessors will be coming to assess the roof today if one was/is not cancelled l,
Thank you,
