Policy increase manupilation
<p>Just received my Miway "policy renewal" document. Just a 70 odd rand increase. Yay! Until I saw they manipulated the increase by adjusting the co-payment upwards by 2000 rand over what it was. So if they kept the co-payments what it was what would have been my real increase? I wonder if this comes down to a deception of the consumer about the real cost of the product they are buying into? We have two motor vehicles with them, but if I can find a better premium elsewhere we will have zero vehicles with them.</p>

30 Nov 2016, 12:55Thank you a very friendly lady phoned me after hours and helped me - but Miway is not off the hook, I got a few quotes and ALL the consultants I spoke to couldn't contain their surprise and shock at a short term insurance company changing excess payments without prior consultation and permission of the client. That would include consultants from Outsurance, FNB, Santam, King Price and Budget Insurance. No other short term insurance company does that.
