Personal information used without consent

I had received a quote from Miway for my car, but I had never requested a quote!?!?All the information looks like my info (id no, home addresses etc.) The only way that this could have happened is if Miway is recycling on old leads or if they are obtaining old information from somewhere. I have requested that I be notified how this could have happened, but have not heard anything. This is serious as my personal information is just that - personal. I trust companies to keep this information save, even if I don't take out a policy with the relevant company.
