Only pleasant until you ask for a quote in writing!

I received a call from a consultant (surname was Ndlovu) who offered to quote me on my insurance. She went the usual questions and then transferred me to someone else who quoted me at about R40 less than my current insurance policy. He was insistent that I can switch today if I agree over the phone. I asked that the quote with proposed policy documents be emailed to me for review. He still insisted that I should start saving today and agree over the phone. At this point, the phone call had passed the 40 minute mark. I stood firm and said that I was not prepared to accept the quote until I have done my due diligence and read the 'fine print' on the policy schedule before I agreed to anything. At that point, his tone changed completely, he became quite rude and said they will see what they can do and hung up on me. I don't care if I'm paying R40 more with my current insurer, at least they treat me with respect!
