Ongoing Issues with Third-Party Claim – Incident on 16 December 2024.

I am writing to formally express my concern regarding the handling of a third-party claim following an accident that occurred on 16 December 2024. A MiWay-insured client collided with my vehicle, causing significant front-end damage.

As part of the third-party claim process, I was required to submit extensive documentation, including two repair quotations—both of which I had to obtain and pay for personally. Despite providing this information, it appears my claim was not given due consideration.

Over the past eight months, I have experienced ongoing delays and inadequate communication. Although MiWay made a settlement offer, it was substantially below the cost reflected in the quotes provided. I was informed that MiWay’s assessors had reviewed the damage; however, they never physically inspected my vehicle. In fact, the first assessment contained incorrect vehicle details.

When I requested a service provider recommended by MiWay to inspect and potentially repair the vehicle, the first referral was located in a different town. After further delays, I was eventually referred to a local service provider. Upon taking the vehicle in, their team assessed the damage and confirmed they could not complete the repairs for the amount quoted by MiWay. They then issued their own assessment, which closely aligned with the original quotes I submitted.

I forwarded this updated assessment to MiWay on 25 June 2025. However, I have since been informed by the assigned legal agent on the 4th of August after i had twice queried, that they are still awaiting feedback from the assessing department.

I am extremely dissatisfied with how this claim has been managed. The delays, lack of proper inspection, and repeated miscommunications have caused undue frustration and inconvenience.

I request that this matter be urgently reviewed and resolved in a fair and timely manner.
