When the Retention Specialist from MiWay wanted me to move all my policies over to them i was promised they they were like no other Insurance providers , they don't give you the run around when you have a claim and they get things sorted out in no time, when we had a power surge and the outside beams and gate motor were affected they send out a company called Green World to do the assessment, according to them their findings were as follows ; Alarm "The cat 5 cable from the alarm system to the beams displays open circuit which is consistent with the cable being exposed to an inductive lightning strike.

Firstly you could tell that these guys were not qualified technicians as they kept referring to someone they work with who trained them on what to test, my main problem here is that this same company was given the go ahead to contact me to come and do the necessary repairs, its now about a month and nothing from them, i even went as far as following up with the claims agent who said she will follow up with them and still not a word. I then took it upon myself to hire another company to replace the CAT5 cable according to Green Worlds report and guess what there is power but the alarm is not triggered when there is movement so much for saying on the report that the alarm works and its only the power that was a problem...what now? Secondly according to their report they had to repair the Raz Rack on the gate and reset the sensor magnet and guess what i contact another service provider who came and put a new steel raz rack and reset the sensor magnet and after paying the 2 service providers R2750 none of my issues are sorted , the beams still don't send out a signal to the control room nor set off the alarm when they detect motion and my gate is still not working.... I guess sometimes you just have to stick to who and what you know and rather stay with insurance that make good on their promises and instead of trying to find a short cut. I guess i will have to find AnotherWay
