Not a happy chappy

I have been a client of Miway since March 2018, we experienced a very bad hail storm in Benoni 26 February 2021. My car was unfortunately outside and got hail damage. I did not notice it at first as its a white car and difficult to see. I then processed a claim on the 3 March 2021 with claim number C***. I received an email stating the following "Simply login to your MiWay online account to supply additional information for this claim and to book an assessment for your vehicle.

The assessing department has been notified of your claim. Further arrangements with regards to the assessment process will be communicated to you within the next 2 - 3 working days."

I never received a call and the app did not want to work, as for additional information I phoned a panel beater and requested a quote. He came to my work and gave me a quote via email on the 5 March, I submitted the quote the same day to the insurance. As I have heard nothing from the Insurance company. I was advised to take my car in which was not possible for me as I work 6 days a week and could not take my car in. I phoned, I emailed to no avail. I eventually was put through to an assessor and he asked me to send pictures. I took pictures and send it to him on the 11 March. At this point I was so gatvol it's not even funny. I then received an email on the 11 March stating my claim has been approved and that my excess is R6100-00 I fell off my chair, I was not advised that my excess will increase only my premier. So I phoned, I complained and all I was told is that it was Told to me via phone when I signed up.....mmm no just about the premier yes not the excess. Non the less I asked for the disclaimer and I would use the panel beater who gave me a quote and I will make a payment arrangement with him to cover the short fall. I received emails from a panel beater in Kempton stating that I have to pay the R6100-00 over to them and then they will attend to my car this is after I had spoken to Miway already. Miway should have informed the company that I would not make use of them which was not done. I spoke to so many different people due to my claim buddie never answering my calls or emails. I received the disclaimer letter, I completed it the same day and send it back, 2 days after I phoned to find out what is going on just to be told they never received it. So I resend it twice, the money was in our account on the 18 March 2021. Im really not happy with the service I received from Miway and Im thinking about moving over to a different insurance, my husband joined Miway 1 March 2021 and on the 5 March I was ****** by a robot and we put a claim in which we are still trying to sort out. This has been one horrible ordeal from the word go.
