NON OEM PARTS BS

MIWAY insured my vehicle with a smile, as it is, in excellent condition, all with genuine parts. I have recently had an incident & now that they have assessed my vehicle & passed the claim, they do not want to honor the repairs with genuine parts, instead they will only do it with NON OEM parts. And according to them, this is the norm within the insurance industry. My gripe is the fact that I have a vehicle with OEM parts, which the happily insured, and they want to use NON OEM parts in order to repair it. How is this acceptable? Yes, I believe the ombudsman has an article allowing this to happen, but how do we just have to lie down & accept this kind of service? There is not a single clause that mentions that when you claim, your vehicle will be repaired using NON OEM items. This is EXTREMELY frustrating. Not to mention the fact that I have to constantly follow up with MIWAY, it seems that they are like ducks, and the consumer is water........
