No service

I have my house,car and jewellery insured with MiWay since 2011.<br> I went to town wearing my ring and on returning i noticed it was missing i looked in the car i then phoned the stores that i have visited and asked if someone had not maybe handed in my ring to no luck. I then logged a claim with MiWay only to be called and told that the insurance does not cover the ring outside of my house. So whey do i then insure anything
