No response - +- 4 weeks since claim

Good day

I was involved in a motor vehicle accident 4 weeks prior to this report. I had alternative transport for 3 weeks. after the second week I started following up on my claim, I have sent a couple of emails and have phoned the call centre numerous times. I called MiWay almost every day in the third week. Every time I got a response that my vehicle has not been towed to SMD Cape Town. I was told that it would be escalated to the manager of the Tow-in department. I was also told that I would get a call before the end of business on numerous occassions (which did not realise). I am struggling to see why the car not being transported to a third party that has nothing to do with me is holding up my claim. Right now I have to beg and borrow lifts/ a car that I can at least get to work. I cannot even obtain finance for a new vehicle as my current finance on the car is still on my credit report as my insured value has not been paid over to them yet. This amounts to me actually paying additional interest on my finance that would not have been accrued to my account had it been settled within a reasonable timeframe.

I have still not to date received a credible answer as to when my claim will be settled. Additionally the car was declared written-off by the assessor on 12th of June. At the end of June my debit order for MiWay still went off. I would like to know what I paid for, as my car could possibly not be insured anymore on the 26th June as MiWay had declared it a write off.

This whole delay in the claims process is affecting me financially and that is not fair to me as it is not my fault for the delay. Could someone please contact me with regards to this.

Yes my claim has now been completed a month later, but I have still not received feedback about the debit order that went off.

MiWay should have a look at their Towing department. the hold up of my whole claim was almost 3 weeks because of the towing department.
