No empathy for clients

Our car suffered hail damage while at the mechanic. My husband registered a claim for hail damage. We were told that it would be uneconimical to repair. The car was fetched from us two weeks ago. On the day that the car was collected it started making a noise in the engine again. The mechanic said that he is willing to fix whatever is wrong since he worked on the car and we paid him. Miway now wants to get another repairer involved, which they will have to pay. Why??? The mechanic that worked on the car said he will fix it and carry the cost, since we have only been driving the car for less than a month. Why does Miway want to write the car off, have it repaired by someone else and pay out less on the claim. What does write off mean? The claim that was registered was for hail damage and Miway decided to write it off!!! So now we are still left without a car and my husband is an insurance assessor, which means he cannot work! This is really unfair, but you are quick to not cover damages when 1 premium is not paid. We are going to the Ombudsman with this nonsense and I will make sure everybody on all social media platforms hears about this.

So we finally received a call from Miway. We are told it had to be determined if the noise in the engine was part of of the same damage for the "hail damage claim". Now can somebody please tell me how does hail damage an engine on a car with a bonnit on??? So they decided to go with the buy back option, however we would have to make a plan to fetch the car, but Miway was presurring us to collect the vehicle from our house not long after we registered the hail damage claim. So this is how clients are treated!!!
