No contact for over a week
I cannot believe the service that I am receiving form my way. My cellphone was ****** on Monday, 14 October and I lodged the claim the same day. I had to then call them later that day to find out if they had received it and what further documents I needed to submit. I gathered my documents and sent them on Wednesday morning. I had to call again to find out if they had been received. I was then told they will vet them and come back to me. Nobody got back to me. I called again on Thursday morning and I was again told that Busisiwe is the agent handling my claim and the person who was on the line could not assist me further as she had the outcome. It is now FRIDAY, 18 October with no feedback from you. When I called on Wednesday I was given an excuse that they tried calling and texting me on my 078 number but I keep on telling you that this is the number that was ****** and I cannot get anything from there. Can someone finalize this claim because I have been loyal in paying for over 2 years and this is not the kind of treatment I would have expected.
Best regards,

Busisiwe has eventually called me and I am not entirely happy with the options I have been given with the outcome of the claim. I am told that I will be replaced with the same model I had covered (OVER TWO YEARS AGO) which is now worth a 3rd of what I had covered it for. This now means that I have been paying for over 2 years for value I will not get. If I am insured for R15000 then why am I being given a phone that is worth R5000 right now, just because its what I used to carry? Yes that is true and hence I bought it 2 years ago....
If this was the logic behind then I think I should have been paying less a premium every month considering that the value I am now getting is significantly less than what I have been paying...
I think a fair statement /outcome should be considering that I have been paying my premiums towards an insurance amount of R15000, I should at least be given a phone of similar price &quality (as stated in your policy wording). This is a serious ripoff if I am now handed a phone that is 3 times less my insurance value.
This is seriously not value for money.
Take car insurance, if your car is ****** or written off, you do not get paid out what your car is valued at the time but you get paid out the retail value of the car (as when you insured it).
What this has done for me is teach me a lesson of its better value then to claim within your first 6 months - 1 year of insurance so you can get value for money otherwise you will be paying for years to get an outdated model which will probably not be in circulation in a couple of months.
