My debit order was not submitted in May when it normally goes through my bank account on the 27th

My debit order was not submitted in May when it normally goes through my bank account on the 27th. I've phoned to query this and was told I need to wait for the next day as it will go through. The debit order was in pending status. It is now the 2nd of June and this d/o still did not run. If the premium is not paid, my policy will likely be cancelled 😞
