Most ********* Insurance I have dealt with, run away from them and don't look back

So I logged a claim with MiWay after my 2-year-old daughter accidentally tripped and poured water on my TV causing it to malfunction. They are now telling me that they're rejecting the claim because the water that spilled caused a power surge and therefore, I must pay an access of R 4500 essentially meaning I must walk away from this claim.

Now my problem here is that my cover clearly states that they pay for accidental damages, they're not specific about how the accident must happen and, therefore are now going against their contract and wording when infact I they should be buying me a new TV because of the accident.

The consult I spoke to Atlegang Thoka lacked compassion when she told me the news, she told me that the water was the cause of the power surge, so had the water not been spilled the TV would still be fine, yet they're rejecting my claim.

Guys please do yourself a huge favor and cancel your insurance with this ********* company. This is the second time they have tried to reject my home content cover for absurd reasons.

I trusted Miway, and after today, they can go **** themselves.
