I Have never been so frustrated in my life. My car broke in Lesotho in December. Only when I informed my way insurance about that I was informed they could not help me since the car was outside the country hence the gross boarder leter. I had to make means to bring it in SA. Which I did finally. At the boarder of Lesotho my way insurance informed me I could not take the car to Bloemfontein since the distance would chow my available funds. I had to opt for ladybrand. Ladybrand is a small town and there no specialist only RMI registered garages. My car was then toured there by MyWay insurance to ladybrand. The lady who was helping me was informed I would be that side since I was on a 14 days leave she could therefore request any information she needed then. This was done. I was informed the gearbox was dead and I informed my way insurance. I had to come back back to Gauteng for work. To my surprise I was then asked to provide failure report. This I would have done if it was requested whilst I still in Freestate but no they had to wait for me to get back this side and start with excuses. I tried to reason with the company and no remorse was shown to me for the inconvenience they are causing. I asked the lady how I was supposed to do what she was requesting, she told me straight that there was nothing she could hence my time , my money spend on the other side waiting for her to do her demands. Now I am told last week that the company could not help me since the failure report informed them that the car was driven without oil in the gearbox. My question is who knows how much oil is in the gearbox whilst driving such a distance. This is the company I have been with since 2010. They can't help me with the gearbox that I pay them for to help me when I am in trouble but instead of helping they seem to be adding more stress to me. I pay every month for this extras which they told me they were covered in the mechaniI warranty. They are telling me the gearbox broke because of my neglejance. How am I supposed to know how much oil is in the gearbox when driving a long distance with the car that is serviced. Please guys advice.. what's my way forward.. I wrote to their internal claims but up to now nothing. I have called them over and over.. what must I do.. they just debited from my account the very same money they don't want to help with to fix my car what am paying them if they can't help and keep to thier promises... My way.. do I really deserve such a drama... My gear box is dead.. my car is renting in ladybrand at someone's place, I am paying the bank for that car.. I am paying my way for mechanical warranty of which my gearbox is covered.. is this fair ?why are our trusted insurances giving us so much pain than happiness... I used to defend my way insurance until now. Very disappointed
