MiWay - well done!

This is my first time reviewing on HelloPeter - I have read alot of reviews. However, when I dealt with MiWay insurance for the first time for a claim, my husband and I were super impressed.

We had to claim for our fridge that broke down. A fridge in excellent condition but due to load shedding, finally gave up on us.

Victor at MiWay was super helpful we had to contact him on a Saturday morning. He was always updating us, returning calls and answering us via telephone all the time.

Overall, we have 2 negatives - more to do with the T&C's...

The one is that there might have been a chance our fridge was too old - so be careful of "old" appliances when seeking insurance companies - the various insurance institutions don't cover them, they do have a life span. But thankfully ours was covered by MiWay.

And the other negative was that although Victor and even Assessor responded pretty quickly, process they have to both follow is a bit slow, especially as it happened on a weekend. However, not Victor's fault.

Victor also patiently and calmly helped us through this process. He gave us information he knew we wouldn't want to hear (I'm pretty sure he had to tell us the negatives too, in case claim wasn't covered) and he remained polite and courteous throughout it all - even when our response wasn't too happy.

Overall, we have been a MiWay client since January 2022 and we are very happy with MiWay and can highly recommend them. They gave us the BEST premium. They have given great service (back when taking out our insurance and for our first claim) and we're about to have our brand new fridge delivered on Friday.
