Miway using loopholes to not pay an VALID claim.

I would really like to know HOW theft is an exclusion on any insurance. We were ******. Would it have been better if we staged a helova break-in and then claimed? Thats all i can think was the problem. But nooooo, we had to be honest and tell the truth. Fat lot of good that did us. We took out an insurance policy with you to protect against losses. We didn't use it, didn't skip a payment, was honest and truthful and now this. Just goes to show, honesty is never the best policy or must I say, in South Africa, honesty is never the best policy. You were suppose to help us get back where we were, to replace what we lost and you can't even do that. Yes, I'm mad, I'm disappointed, I lost the little bit of trust I had left. 2 weeks. 2 weeks of keeping us waiting just to then not even have the decency to say it straight-out. All that money wasted on an insurance that can't keep their part of the agreement. No-where on my policy does it say that THEFT is an exclusion. It does say that you don't cover items intentionally vandalized by workers- which is stupid in itself. Im sending my policy document out on social media and to the ombudsman with your reason for rejecting the claim. Enjoy.

Thanks for your note! Valerie let us know that she’s been trying to get in touch with you, but that she has unfortunately not been able to reach you. She proceeded by giving your husband a call to explain the outcome of the claim and he confirmed that he would pass the details on to you.

Please don’t hesitate to give us a call if there is still anything that you are uncertain about as we’re happy to provide clarity, if needed. Alternatively, please get in touch with our Disputes department should you wish to dispute the outcome of your claim.

Kind regards,
The MiWay Team
