MiWay to NO WAY!!!!! SHOCKING!!

<p>I was in an accident on the 13th of May, where I was in a bumper bashing with another car.</p> <p>The car in front of me stopped dead with no indication of turning left into a parking lot. I unfortunately did not have enough time to brake and bumped into him. This vehicle left the accident scene minutes later, the driver that I bumped into was heavily intoxicated. My car was not really drivable and took a chance and drove it meters away into the parking lot and parked it in front of the police station. </p> <p>I did speak to a Police officer to ask him permission to leave my car there for safety. He assured me that was fine.</p> <p>I went back to the Police station early the next morning to report everything and give my statement. Called MiWay to lodge the claim and arrange for the tow truck to tow the car.</p> <p>I received a phone call early the next week to arrange a meeting with the assessor. I was honest with him and told him from the beginning that the car that stopped in front of me left the accident scene. That I left my car in front of the police station the whole night and that I wasn't under the influence of alcohol. I was questioned further and explained all my actions for that evening.</p> <p>I was then told that I didn't drive into the white Mercedes and that I drove into something else. And that I didn't leave my car in front of the police station. And for that I have witnesses.</p> <p>The next call I received from the assessor he required bank statements and wanted to meet me again. He accused me again of not telling the truth which I was. I had to sign an affidavit to access my cell phone records and trace my phone. I gave them all the information that I had. After all that I did, even after doing my own investigation to find the other driver's details and handed it to them they still accused me of lying. The assessor even interviewed the other driver that left the scene and confirmed with him that he drove off and that he was heavily intoxicated but I still get accused for lying.</p> <p>After that the assessor said that he went to the police station where I left my car and claimed that my car was not parked there the whole night. And for that I have eye witnesses.</p> <p>After 3 weeks they made a decision to decline my claim, I'm being accused of lying, being under the influence and that there wasn't enough evidence. I feel that I've been treated very unfairly as I was honest and gave them all the information that they required. I feel that this whole matter was based on assumptions and not the facts that were given.</p> <p>I now have to pay for the rental cost, the towing and storage for my car at SMD. I still have to pay to get my own vehicle fixed.
