MiWay RIPS OFF clients
<p>I had my car broken into: smash off the back side glass. My surprise is that on a retail cost of R950, I was charged by MiWay an excess of R940. (this is the retail price, what the public will pay to Glassfit as a walk in customer, not the discounted price that the insurers pay). Is this not plain *****ing from the paying public? I will understand regarding the windscreen which costs R4900, although a 25% excess is excessive anyway. But to charge 100% of the cost as excess? There should be a clear differenciation of excess charges, one for windscreens and another, much smaller amount for side windows - all depending on cost. Otherwise it means allowing the insurer to print their own money at the customer's account. Legal *****ing from the man in the street by MiWay should be stopped. </p>
