MiWay rip-off on claim registered
I registered my claim on the 5th of December 2022. On the 7th a technician came to my house to assess the faulty TV and had to take it to their warehouse as he didn't have the necessary tools to continue with the assessment.
On the 8th, an agent called to inform me that my claim was approved for R10 0649 and also sent an email to that effect. On the same day, I rep**** to the agent's email that I do not agree to the settlement option as the approved amount is below the market value of a similar model of my TV. The current market value is: 1. R15 999 -Takealot 2. R14 999- Makro 3. R15 999- HiFi corporations 4. R14 999- Game 5. R15 499- Incredible Connection
On the 9th the agent responded to my email that he will call me back which he didn't. I called his line more than 5 times and couldn't get hold of him, I suspect that he just ignored my calls. I only got hold him after I was transferred to him by another agent and also after I made noise on Twitter and he still didn't assist me.
It is unbecoming that MiWay would want to benefit and save money at the detriment of the client. This is a total rip-off.
MiWay we pay premiums on a monthly basis so that when such incidents happen one could have peace of mind and not have you ripping us.
Please do right...I've been a client for about 5 years and when I have to claim you treat me like you're doing me a favour??? Being taken from pillar to post!!
