Miway: Our way or the highway! (t's and c's apply)

Having worked for a top insurer for years, coming over to Miway was daunting and they unfortunately proved my doubts right with many errors, however one stands out far above the others. I referred my mother to Miway when asked for a referral, she signed up her vehicle, building and contents. I was awaiting the voucher, and in both calls I made to follow-up on the progress of the voucher none of the consultants made a pro-active effort to check if the referral was linked on my policy and my mom's so they just kept telling me to wait. Two months later when i initiated my risk address change, I again asked what's happening with the voucher? The referral team came back to me on my birthday and said sorry I don't qualify for the voucher because my mom signed up more than 30 days after I provided Miway with her information. My first question to that feedback "Why did the consultant who pushed for the referral not tell me about the 30 days?", I would've put a time-frame on it and assisted my mom to get in touch quicker. To add onto it, my mother called me happily in May and said thank you for referring her to Miway she saved a bit of money, and she even said to me the consultant said her daughter will get a voucher for referring her. BIG disappointment, your rewards system is fictitious. I was about to refer my entire, family, office and friends to you, pending the receipt of the voucher (because you have to see whether a company can put their money where their mouth is). Unfortunately that will not happen anymore, you can generate your own leads. I do also however believe in giving credit where it is due, and would like to commend Siyabonga Gumbi on his humorous, friendly and professional assistance regarding the update of my risk address. His assistance is of the caliber of a top-level insurer and you would do well to invest and nurture this young man's skills and talents as he is a great asset to your business. Keep it up Siya!
