Miway or the hiway

A month ago, a miway client brought his car to an abrupt stop in peak hour. Nothing about this situation is normal driving. (His admittance) He had an argument in the car with his partner and she jerked on the steering forcing him to use the handbrake to stop the car. I obviously didn't anticipate this (nobody in their right mind would). So I ended up rear ending him. My car sustained quite a bit of damage. Miway refuses to understand and just plainly said they're not covering siting following distance on my behalf. I strongly disagree. They would anything not to pay out people. Their customers admitted to his wrongdoings at the scene6and at the Police station for the statement. They say it doesn't matter. So ya... That's the story.
