MiWay or the HiWay

my car insured with santam, miway gave me a call within May 2018 and offered me a deal which was about R50 cheaper than my current insurer at the time. my debit order was set up for the 1st of every month that covers my for the following month. i officially accepted the deal on the 22nd May 2018, i received the documentation that also confirms my debit order date being on the 1st. On the 1st June 2018 i contacted Miway to explain why my debit order went off two days prior to my agreement, they gave me some explanation that i fell under some category (but this information was never disclosed to me when i signed up).

I provided Santam with uninterrupted services for 3yrs and i was not happy with the treatment i received, i made them aware of this and requested my insurance to be cancelled and to refund me the debit order that was deducted from my account. the agent informed me that she will need to put me through to a senior agent for some odd reason, after being placed on hold for 5min without an apology, the same agent advised me that i would receive a call within 72 hours from a senior agent, its day 14 and still no one has contacted me.

I could have did a debit order reversal but instead i gave the company an opportunity to rectify their wrongs. As my debit order went off without my consent prior to the date i requested or knowledge of being in a category i am not happy with the service. and lastly i paid before the time, gave the company notice 2 days after the payment which was the actual day the debit order was supposed to be actioned, i no longer wish to do business with MiWay and want my money back as i have provided them with sufficient notice
