MIWAY / NETSTAR fails to meet their contractual obligations.

My experience with MiWay Insurance has been disappointing. I entered into a business car insurance policy during June 2023. It is a specific provision of the agreement that a tracking device be installed on the vehicle. Within days of entering into the contract, Mi Way's service provider, NETSTAR, informed that the application for a tracking device had been approv3ed. However, to date hereof, NETSTAR has failed and/or refused to install the tracking device. No explanation or reason has been given by either NETSTAR or MiWay. During Jan/Feb 2024, I again sought to inform MiWay of NETSTAR's failure to install the tracking device. I'm told by MiWay that it logged a request with NETSTAR during February 2024. NETSTAR denies having record of the request. While these two parties are denying responsibility, the consumer is left in the lurch. In fact, MiWay increased the excess amount payable by R4,000.00 due to the absence of a tracking device. Since the insured party does not have a contract with NETSTYAR, it remains the responsibility of the INSURER to ensure that its service provider complies with its contractual obligations. It appears that NETSTAR holds a monopoly in the market with the result that the tail is wagging the dog.
