MiWay misleading clients

Hello Peter,

I had a quotation with some insurance company on the 2nd of November 2017, they quoted me R1001.85 with an excess of R5300 comprehensive cover for my car, and at the time I was paying R992 with an excess of R15000 with MiWay, so I called MiWay with the intension to cancel my policy because I wanted a lower excess fee, MiWay conviced me to stay with them and lowered my excess to R7500 - R1000 = R6500 and increased my premium to R1074.28, although this was higher than the quotation I receieved, I decided it was fine since I have been with MiWay for 5 years now. Before I accepted their attempt to match the other insurer's premium I actually told the consultant that I know the policy is due for renewal and they are going to increase my premium as usual, he promised me, actually he assured me that they will but I can call in and they will get it back to where it was, which is R1074. They only debited my account once and incresed the the premium to R1341. In my books that is deception and lying, because the premium is now R267 more. And now they are giving some lame excuse that the can not keep their promise to reduce the premium to what it was. Anyway, I guess its time to say goodbye to MiWay because I really am not happy with their deception.
