MiWay lives up to their word.

So, where does one start ? Being an old age pensioner, every penny counts. Thus, 18 months ago, I decided to investigate changing my insurance company. I called 2 companies and gave my existing insurer a chance. Miway BY FAR shook me to the roots. I was going to save a massive R 1300,00 per month for the same services. My old insurer tried and tried, but never came near in services offered for my money. So, with some trepidation ( obviously the old insurer gave me a million horror stories ), I swapped. So onward to the present. July 7th 2020, my domestic and her husband ( my gardener ), who I have known for 12 years, decided to up-root and disappear, with a good proportion of my stuff. Now, all those horror stories gripped my mind. Phoned in the claim, Phumzile Phatlane answered and very patiently spent 1.5 hours on the phone with me, going through all the detail. Very empathetic and understanding, considering my anger, disappointment and hurt at that moment. Soon thereafter, I was contacted by a MiWay assessor named Ramano Rambau due to the value of the claim. Because of Covid he was working from home and once again showed great empathy, understanding and patience. Ramano was very precise and detailed. Did I say, 2 days after the *******, 10 th July was my 75 th birthday. So what happened was quite a shock and my mind wasn’t 100% with him at times. ( Not Dementia !!!) Ramano kept in contact at least once a day and was very understanding re a couple of matters. He wanted a copy of the police report, but the Police Station was closed due to Covid contamination. Managed to get it 2 days later. I would like to say at this point, MiWay should be proud of the professionalism, efficiency and people s****s of their staff, especially Phumzile Phatlane and Ramano Rambau. I can’t stop enthusing about them. The claim has been settled to my satisfaction with minimal fuss and pain. Didn’t need the trepidation, MiWay lives up to their word. Thanks
