MiWay is the worst insurance ever, I would not recommend it to anyone.

I have been badly mistreated by MiWay insurance. On the 26 October 2022, at 18:45 pm, I had an unfortunate incident when my car was struck by hail. I immediately called the insurance to initiate the claims process.

When I immediately called to claim on the same day, the call centre agent told me it was too late, and that I should call the next day to start the claim, but however, they logged my claim. On the 27th of October 2022, the claim was processed, and a representative of MiWay insurance came and collected the car at my residence.

The car was assigned to NMS Auto Body Workshop in Polokwane (this workshop has proved to be extremely ***********). The car had dents on the bonnet, roof, left door and mirrors. I received a courtesy car on the 3rd of November 2022, and had to return the car on the on the 2nd of December 2022.

My hope was that by the time I return the courtesy car, my car would be fixed, but this was not the case. Since lodging the claim on the 27th of October 2022, its been 7 months, an my car is yet to be fixed. I have been paying my insurance premium, and car loan repayments, whilst having to pay for taxis to get to work.

I am a single mother, and this whole issue with my car has resulted in severe suffering for me and my family. I have been constantly following up with MiWay regarding the situation with my car, they have done little to nothing to resolve the matter. I feel mistreated by MiWay, as I have been paying for both my car repayments and insurance premiums, without the benefit of driving my car. I have to use multiple taxis to get to work.

I have constantly called MiWay to intervene, by holding NMS Autobody Workshop accountable for the delays in repairing my car, which they have repeatedly fail to do. The Auto Body workshop has been claiming to be waiting for parts but have confirmed they received parts on the 23rd of March 2023. But till today, the car has not been completed. I have lost all hope on MiWay and NMS Auto Body Workshop. MiWay has ruined my life. This is the worst insurance ever, I would not recommend it to anyone.
