Miway insurance poor payouts
Hi im a miway client. On the 26th November 2023 I had a accident with my motorcycle. I called miway to assist and report the accident. They towed my bike 2006 Honda CBR1000RR to there assesment storage facility. Somebody road infront off me so I told miway to claim from his insurance because he was at fault and i gave all details off his insurance and claim number. They said they will forward to there legal dept. Thando was handling my claim and he phoned me to say after assessment my bike is written off. He told me my bikes value is R72900 and they would pay out R61500 after axcess is deducted and i agreed in that. So there was a R11400 deduction. I thought i would get it back as soon as 3rd party insurance settle my insurance. On 27 December somebody phoned me and said they gona make the payment and i got a email saying they paid R33356 in my acc. I phoned them straight away telling them i don't want this money and they must give back my bike. They said they will tell Thando to phone me. After 3 days the money was in my acc(R33356). I phoned them again and tell them the same thing. After 4 days Thando phoned me and said he doesn't know what happened because according to him they had to pay out R61500 but there was a final assessment and admin paid it out. I told him the same story to take back the money and give my bike back. In the meantime my bike was sold at a online auction. I logged a dispute and after 10 days they sended me a email. I didn't agree or signed anything whatsoeva from them. There explanation was that my bike was a 2006 model and not a 2007 model and the value off a 2006 model Honda CBR1000RR is R39000. How do u come to a conclusion that a 2007 is R729000 and a 2006 model is R39000 that's R33500 difference in one year. That doesn't make sense because i know a 2006 model's value is about R65000. So please stay away from miway they a bunch off ******
