MIWAY INSURANCE NEVER

My experience with Miway was a nightmare. We were involved in an accident on 27 September 2020 and lodged a third party claim with Miway. In the first week of November 2020 they offered R2000 on a R18 000 claim. When we disputed this we received an email indicating that their offer was in any event too much and actually should have been less. I then claimed from my Insurance. Outsurance, there the claim was finalized in two days and two days after that our access amount was recovered and paid. The claim amount was R10 000 plus more than what Miway offered. In addition the claim advisor of Miway I perceived as rude and argumentative. I responded with a comprehensive email when I rejected the offer. It was very clear that not a single point I tabled was even considered. They were also very quick to threaten with a counter claim in an event where I would decide to take legal action. I found that to be a strategy to discourage people from the public to take any further action in an event where the outcome is not satisfactory. As a result of this experience we cancelled life insurance we were about to take out at Miway. Both me and my daughter cancelled. Needless to say is that I will never insure with Miway. If Miway is the only Insurance Company left in the world I will then go without insurance. This is how strong I feel about the experience I have had with them.
