Miway - inefficient, untrained, unsupervised Staff

I have been a client of Miway for more than 10 years. To the best of my knowledge I have had maybe 2 or 3 claims during that period. My Geyser "burst" on Wednesday causing a fair amount of water damage. We called Miway who sent out the emergency plumber Bongani to access the situation. Bongani advised the geyser had gone as had one of the hot water and cold water pipes, this all due to the current water pressure fluctuation being experienced in the Fourways Area. He advised to put in ONE Claim as it was the same problem..... The plumbers would then be back on Thursday to do the work. They phoned at 1pm to say they couldn't make it and that they would come on Friday. They arrived as promised this morning only to tell me that they are only authorised to replace the geyser and that the pipes were supposed to be logged as seperate claims. Obviously this is to maximise their income. The claim will equate to three separate excesses having to be paid. As a woman homeowner I am reliant on the expertise of the person coming out who should be both qualified to do the job and know the processes of the insurance company they are working for..... It is my opinion that the staff employed are not qualified or equipped to handle claims. Due to the various leaks the plumbers are now not allowed to put in the geyser without repairing the pipes. SURELY IT IS ONE JOB----- The plumbers want to send me a quote for the extra work at an additional cost over and above the excess of R2200.00 that I must pay them., I have decided that due to the confusion caused by Miway, Fogi and Johannesburg Plumbers I will get my own plumber to repair the pipes and they can come back on Monday to replace the geyser. Why do we have insurance if this is how they treat their client base. I am now inconvenienced due to their inefficient untrained staff.... cheap labour. WHAT A ******* INSURANCE IS......NOT TO MENTION THERE WASNT A SUPERVISOR TO REFER THE TELECOM TO WHEN ASKED IF WE COULD ESCALATE THE QUERY........
