MIWAY DOING THINGS "THEIR WAY" AND PUTTING THE LIVES OF THEIR COMMITTED CLIENTS AT RISK ON THE ROADS
My car was Windows and windscreen were physically damaged 5 months ago, I immidiate my contacted the realible car insurance company Miway to tow my car to my house as it was not in a drivable condition because of glass all over the car. 1. Claims departments advised that because I have a comprehensive cover with Miway why can't I just pay excess and they will have my car towed to them and they will replace the windows and windscreen. 2. I agreed and made arrangements and my car was towed 3. No confirmation was received of my car being received therefore I Gad to xal' in without success 4.later received a sms confirmation that my far was taken to a panel beating company Who also called to finalize total cost to repair the car which was over R15 000. I was shocked and started asking questions and I was told of dents on body of the car and bumper. How this was obtained it beats me. As the windscreen and back windows were broken. I was not in any sort of accident and my car was just 5monts old. In mint condition. 5. With shock I called them to verify the details received and to my surprise I was informed the agent who assisted me with the claim recorded it as an accident, irrespective of me confirming precisely what occurred and what needed repairs 6. I was told they will escalate investigate and come back to me. 7.fays went by with no communication and again I had to send emails and call in to follow up. 8. 7 working days later another sms was sent to go firm my car will be collect my car from the panel eaters and make arrangements with PG Glass Midrand to get the glass replaced. 9. I immediately called in and weighed in my frustrations and again explain, why the had to take full responsibility as I was not going to be affected by the human error from their end. Which had already affected me as I had to get a lift club which costs a fortune to and from work, as public transportation is 1 nightmare at my work place. Again they will escalate. 10. I called in again, and 1gain and again, until I was beyond angry this is nearly 2 weeks and I asked to speak to Claims Manager /Supervisor and was transfered to Palesa by a gentleman Mpho who again needed to investigate. Who understood my frustration and how much the error costs me on a daily bases on a replacement that was to he done in a day. After yet another follow up. She made arrangements to get my car to PG Glass and they also called in and advised that they had no stock of the rear window and they will however order it and advise once done. This was a Thursday of almost week 3. Unfortunately even after I advised of the emergency of having my car back I was told they were fully booked and had to week for a. Days to get the glass windscreen and small rear window and will have to arrange again fmto have the bigger window glass replaced once stock is received. 11. Come the day we had to be moved to another day and once done the car was returned. WORST NIGHTMARE - GLASS DOES NOT HAVE ANTI SMASH AND GRAB - CAR BROGHT BACK WITH GLASSES STIL'LALL OVER THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR, WHICH WAS THE REASON I NEEDED TOWING IN THE FIRST PLACE AS IT IS NOT SAFE WITH ALL THE GLASSES. -SHOCKILY 1. MY CAR HAD DEBTS VISIBLE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE AND BUMPER AND A FEW SCRATCHES ON THE LEFT 2. THE BOOT COVER WAS BROKEN AS IF IT WAS REPLACED WITH ANOTHER DAMAGED CAR COVER OR PRESSURE WAS APP**** TO IT 3. TOOLS WRE MISSING FROM THE BAG INCLUDING WHEEL SPANNER
NB: TOW TRACK DRIVER ADVISED THAT MY CAR SAS NOT STABLE AS IF IT NEEDED ALIGNMENT. TRUSTING THAT ALL WAS WELL I BRUSHED IT OFF.
ALL THIS WAS REPORTED IMMEDIATELY ON THE DAY AND PICTURES SENT. THE DROVE ALSO TOOK PICTURES FIR HIS REPORT.
To date I have spoken to all seniors I can speak to, explained everything and sent evidence was told they investigating and xill revert but yet again day after day I had to call in. Aardin manager called in after I sent an email treating to escalate the case to Hello Peter and told me as an apology for the way the case was handled they will waiver the excess cost for glass which was just over R1200 incl Vat. And I called her to ask about the damages and she said she will revert back. Today marks 5 months of this ordeal driving In a dangerous condition where my view is obstructed on the road and I cannot see cars behind me. Posing great danger to me and my family and my fellow road uses.
I have explained all of this and stressed the urgency but till date no phone call/email or any further communication was received from Miway.
Anyone please help me... As I need to deal with this legally even if it means suing them for putting my life, my family and fellow riad users at risk. Also risking daily use of 5he vehicle with a great chance of getting a ticket for the same.
