MiWay doing insurance you way seriously ......that nonsense

Hello Peter i just joined MiWay Insurance two months back and everything was done telephonic. The agreement i had with MiWay was i will pay the premium of R934.15 should i get involve in the car accident access will be R2500, Rececenly i have been involve in an incident 9 July 2016 around 9am at the parking lot at work the headlight on the right hand side and the bumper were really damage but the car was driveable. Immediately i phoned MiWay reporting the incident i was advise by the consultant not to allow any car to tow my car they will send the tow truck. So they sent an sms to me giving me the details of the twoing truck to pick up my car and i waited for them and they did come. On Monday 11July 2016 days i phoned MiWay to ask them how will the process go and also gave them the OB number from the police station, they told me the process will take Maximum of 2 weeks to fix my car, for now i have to wait for the assessor that will be appointed to me to come and do investigation from they quotes will be done and then on my side i must prepare for an access amount should the quote comes as an indication that i have to it based on the damage of the car. and asked the lady to verify my access she said it R2500. The assessor came on Friday 15 July 2016.

He came and assess the area and also interviewed one guy and took down details for two more witnesses.

On monday phoned MiWay for follow up they said the assessor will take 2 to 3 working days, on tuesday i phoned asked them that since we heading for the second week and the report is not submitted we dragging to the third week is it possible to collect my car form the storage area cause i dont have transport and where i stay public transport is a bit far. they said i must wait for the report i asked if a ican also do my own quote for the car they said that will be part of the assessor. On wednesday phoned again if the report has been submitted they said no again i made a full of myself asked them to verify the access cause i have heard stories about bad experiences people have with their insurance again they said its R2500 as soon as the quote is finallised and the car has been sent to the panelbeater i wll arrange with them the payment of access.

Thursday phoned again that was the week with heavy rains i was frustrated having no transport. i was told the they waitng for authorisation from the assessor.so the second week passed nothing has been done to the car.

The third week started still the repost is not submitted i even stressed to them that i need to know exactly how long does it take to fix the car im on the third week with no car and its hasnt gone to the panel beater, well thy gave me their excuses that due to heavy rains theres a pile of complaints and i asked them for the past two weeks before the storm what were they doing.Everyday i was doing the follow up. then on Friday 29 July the assessor by name of Bongani phones me and told me that he has finalise the report the cost of fixing the car has come up to R44000 and some change and i will have to pay an access of R7500 I asked him where is that amount coming from according to muy knowledge my agreement with MiWay was R2500 Access he said since im still within the period of 3 months that how much i have to pay, i said to him im withdrawing the claim he said then i will have to pay for storage fee and towing truck fee, i told him tha they are the one delaying the process in the first my car is sitting they for 23 weeks and i have been calling everyday verifying everything and all the consultant confirmed i have to pay R2500 they did see that i have only paid 2 PREMIUMS they would have know that i should pay R7500 since im within 3 MONTHS he said i should have asked him the question they gave me wrong information.

I am really feeling ****** by this insurance for the poor service right now my car is with a panel beater, aweek before last it was authorised to go to DBN panelbeater but i asked the assessor since im work in PTN can they send it they he said yes, i phoned Pinetown panelbeater to confirm they said they have received paprwork but the whole week it did not go there, last week i did a folow up Pinetown panel beater told me the car is with DBN panelebeater i phoned DBN they said they never received the car i called MiWay he asked for Panelbetaer contact details and didnt come back to me so i phoned the guy that towed my car he told me the car is at Point Road in town and gave me contact detaila. i phoned the guy at point he said my car is not there, i went back to the assessor he told me the car is still at Miway Yard to take the car to Pinetown panelbeater he must do authorisation all over again and will take 2-3 days i said he must leave it as it and sent it to DBN,an hour later i received the call from panel beater pinetown that the car has been sent to them. Again i was confuse how did it get there when i was told another authorisation have to be done. its been second week today my car with panelbeater and the insurance is busy chasing customers while i have been pushing for my car to be fixed its an embarrasing we really on this insurance for good service we pay everymonth without fail. when its time for them to fulufil their part of the bargain as advertised im getting the worse experience of my life from Miway. Please Help Peter for other people who are planning to join MiWay.
