MiWay does not care about you, So does Cartrack.
Basically MiWay does not care about some of its customers. Unfortunately, I had to be one of them.
The problem started when I bought a new car and as a result, I was told to ensure my car has a car tracker with their strategic partner brand, Cartrack (nightmare, especially if you are using an Apple device). So I told MiWay about my Dissatisfaction with regards to the partner they referred me to. It now became a situation were I was working MiWay, spending several hours explaining one thing. One i requested to escalte my issues to the customer services manager I was given the famous response, he is busy. After a while of givng the team leader time to respond to my requests, She contacted me still without having solved my problem. Now I asked to speak to the person above the Customer Services manager and i was told its the General manager.
Ohhh and I got quotated R2500-00 for insurance on a new NP200. I'm 29 years old I live in Suburb. I have had my license since 2012 I had insurance for my other car with them since 2018 I stated my case and eventually, I was given a better premium without a significant increase of the excess they initially tried. It was around R1300 at the end. Stand your ground... I was told the Np200 is a high risk car for high Jack, which leads to the following.
Mad sure I got the tracker installed from their partner, and it became a mess. No effort put into ensuring i fully understand the device installed in my car, was promised it comes with a panic button (even now i do not know where to locate it). I was promised i could track my car on my [hone, the app does not work well with Apple i was told. So who is a clown now??? Me the guys that still paying for the premium I was coerced into signing up for.
Now imagine you buy a new car to avoid headaches that comes with doing business with unknown brands. This made my experience of buying a car from Nissan slightly regratable.
Long story cut short to this day, i have not spoken to the General manager (A month Later). I have not been provided with the promised recordings from their partner Cartrack Despite moving to a different insurer who is now charging me R100 more, I took the decision to cancel all the services I was recieveing from MiWay.
My Advice: Pay attention to how businesses treat you when they want you to sign up vs after you've signed up. Pay attention to service, no point in buy a product or service that you can not get joy in the aftercare aspect. Do not allow people to sell you items over the phone promising you that you will get a recording should you ever need it especially Cartrack and MiWay. Stay away from companies that do not care about customer service, chances are they won't even understand your cry as far as service is concerned.
Just like Game, They simply do not care about your hard-earned "Cents". I have been meaning to move our Business liability insurance cover, Just remembered. They forget some of us are linked to several other potential customers for them. But it's ok. we will go pay more for our premiums for brands that understand customer service.
