MIWAY CAUSING ************** BY VIRSEKER (AUTO AND GENERAL) FOR A CLAIM THAT IS REAL
Due to extreme heatwaves last year during September 2022, the battery of my ACER laptop overheated and became swollen which caused the laptop to open up. I use the laptop daily for work - I am a SASSA pensioner due to circumstances beyond my control. The laptop is/was listed on my insurance so I contacted MIWAY to have it repaired. GW TECH collected the laptop on 19 September 2022. After almost 6 to 7 weeks the laptop was returned to me with a battery inside and the open bottom closed. I was informed by MIWAY that the laptop was not covered by the insurance as the fault was wear and tear. I had to have WINDOWS, WORD AND ADOBE reloaded as everything I tried to use was not responding. A friend reloaded all the programs for me and after I caused the program to crash I had a small local company "fix" the laptop and after making backup of ALL MY WORK reload the programs on my laptop. We subsequently, due to financial constraints changed our insurance from MIWAY to VIRSEKER (AUTO AND GENERAL) and on 1 November 2023 the first payment went off. On 9 NOVEMBER 2023 my grand-daughter and I were home alone, my daughter, a Firefighter was on NIGHTSHIFT. At around 04h15 my Granddaughter came to wake me up - she was in tears and shaking like a leaf - she was woken by someone *****ing her SAMSUNG A 33 cellphone (on the bed next to her pillow) and my LAPTOP through the window in her room. She said she said "hey" to the guy and he grabbed the goods and jumped over the wall into the yard next to our house. I phoned my son, my daughter (who phoned the SAPS) and called our CPF on the radio and told my granddaughter not to touch anything. By the time my daughter got home from work (about 7 minutes) SAPS were already on scene. In any case, BEING ONLY 8 DAYS AFTER THE FIRST PAYMENT WENT OFF, I THINK AUTO AND GENERAL THINKS WE ARE TAKING CHANCES. I HAVE BEEN BATTERED WITH QUESTIONS AND I HAVE HAD TO SUPPLY COPIES OF MY MIWAY POLICY AS WELL AS PHOTOS OF THE WINDOW THROUGH WHICH THE GOODS WERE ******, COPIES OF MY PHONE RECORDS INDICATING THE USE OF THE PHONE AS WELL AS PHOTOS OF THE LAPTOP CABLE ECT. TO AUTO AND GENERAL BECAUSE I AM SURE THEY THINK WE ARE TAKING CHANCES. MIWAY GAVE THEM A COPY OF THE GW TECH REPORT OF SEPTEMBER 2022 FOR THE ACER LAPTOP AND NOW I HAVE 14 DAYS TO PROVE THAT THE LAPTOP WAS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER AND WAS BEING USED DAILY OR THE CLAIM WILL NOT BE HONOURED. The almost brand new SAMSUNG A33 is being replaced by a SAMSUNG A345 - worth only R3000+ - my Granddaughter used the phone because of the memory and storage capacity for taking photos of school work and notes. MIWAY and GW TECH has caused me so much problems with this LEGITIMATE CLAIM it is unreal. On 3 December 2022, at a robot, while waiting for it to change, my handbag was ****** out of my car from under the front passenger seat between my Granddaughter's legs. We OBVIOUSLY REPORTED the incident to MIWAY. The keys to my property, my SASSA card, my daughter's bank cards, our ID docs and Drivers' licenses were in my handbag as well as the immobilizer for my car. In the end I was only paid out for the CELL PHONE (R2000+ minus a R650 co-payment) that was in my handbag - my co-payment was R3000 and a new immobilizer cost me only R1800 which my daughter paid in cash - my keys and other goods that were in my bag was all paid for in cash by my daughter. We are now being judged and discriminated against because of the claims that happened through no fault of ours.
