Miway - All calls and No Quote

On Thursday I was contacted by MiWay and offered their insurance product for my vehicle. Normally I don't take calls from Insurance companies as Im quite happy with my current insurance provider, but I thought might as well give it a try and see if they could offer a better premium. After all the usual questions (around 15 minutes of answering questions) a quote was prepared and the premium was lower than my current insurer along with other benefits I currently dont have. So naturally I was happy with this and told the sales person to send the quote though. After 3 hours of waiting, no quote. I then called Miway back to follow up on this, to be told I would be sent the quote and would be called back. Again to no avail. Friday morning came and I then decided to call again to follow up. I was told the quote was with the actuaries and would be sent it through as soon as it was finalized. I am now still waiting for the quote/policy to be emailed to me. This is really disappointing and Id hate to think of the run around that I would be given if it was for a claim. Overall this is disappointing and id recommend that calls from Miway aren't answered as they failed to send through the quote as promised after me making a number of calls to follow up... usually its supposed to be an effortless process with the potential client not having to do this.

Miway was unable to resolve this issue and did not contact me "shortly", I once again needed to spend my time making the calls and following up. 0/10 for professionalism.
I did however talk to an extremely helpful salesman, Antonio Izacs. He was more than willing to help and when I needed to call back I asked for him by name. He was able to assist and discuss what the issue was, which brings us to my main concern. Accountability and being able to provide what was offered. Antonio explained that the insurance policy was declined by the Actuaries at Miway, as they deemed it "too risky" (the irony being an insurance provider and making money off of the consumers risk aversion) as the vehicle I was attempting to insurance was a superbike. The blaring question that couldn't be answered is why would Miway contact me and attempt to offer me insurance, making me spend time answering questions only then to be told this? This sounds like a flaw in the system that should have been picked up before they even called me in the first place to offer the insurance on the bike?
Overall this is extremely unprofessional and should be a point noted for improvement, as I am sure this would have happened to others. Make sure you are will to follow through with insuring an item before you offer the insurance.
