MiWay

I am currently insured with my and cancelling the cover end of this month. I have to confirm the rumours i've been hearing about this insurer that they are ****ers. Had a first hand experience when i claimed for scratch and dent cover since someone decided to scratch my car at the mall and drove off while i was inside the mall.

Called MiWay on several occassions to lodge the claim and was unsuccessful,tried it on their website and there was no option to claim under scratch and dent cover. Informed the agent who was assisting about this but she did nothing about it. After the assesor was done with assessing the photos i had sent them, they started including parts of the car that werent damaged at this point.

The cover for scratch and dents is R5000 and their quotation exceeded that amount since they included irrelevant things so that it could be covered under comprehensive. The final quotation from MiWay is R6200 i have to pay R4000 at the panel beater for excess and they will pay the difference for jus a minor scratch. They service was immensely poor to such an extent that i couldnt stay with them for another month. ********!!
