Missing spare wheel; Jack and Wheel spannerb
I am sharing my experience as lodged the complaint regarding the handling of my vehicle check-in at Vanzyl auto body Pretoria Silverton. On 22 January 2026, I handed in my Polo Vivo (Reg: FV.50LFGP) for repairs. At the time of check-in, the official Vehicle Checklist clearly recorded that the spare wheel and standard tools were present. This is documented in the inspection section signed by your staff member, Chrissi, and acknowledged by me. Despite this, I was later informed that the spare wheel, jack, and wheel spanner were “never received.” This statement is factually incorrect and contradicts the signed checklist. As further evidence, I personally opened the back seat at the time of handover to show the spare wheel, jack, and wheel spanner to the service advisor. I have already reported this matter to my insurer midway through the process, as I believe this omission amounts to negligence and misrepresentation. Valid Facts & Evidence: • Vehicle Check-In Document (22/01/2026) – Spare wheel and tools Never marked but i show then lady as was present. • Client signature and initials confirming checklist accuracy. • Personal demonstration of spare wheel, jack, and wheel spanner at handover. • Insurance notified MiWay of the discrepancy. This situation has caused me unnecessary frustration and wasted time. I request immediate rectification, accountability, and assurance that such omissions will not recur. My polo vivo Parked at home as currently not roadworthy without spare wheel, jack and wheel spanner Client: Thompson Date of Incident: 22 January 2026
