Misinformation from Miway Representative
I am utterly displeased with the misleading information I received either from Kitlano Cakwe on June 30th or Mandla Msiza today.
On June 30th I contacted Miway through the chat on the application inquiring on what would happen if my premium was late due to financial difficulties I am currently facing. Kitlano said that it would not be a problem and I would have my cover until the 14th-15th day of the month and another attempt from Miway would be made to debit the premium. I asked if she could reverse it and she said the request had already been made to the bank and that what I could do is reverse the debit order and then contact Miway when I was ready to make payment. Yesterday, 06 July, I got an SMS from Miway stating that I have no cover from 01-31 July and that a R500 free would have to be paid for any non-payment for a valid claim. Mandla, today 07 July, tells me that I have no cover because I haven't paid my premium. These are two opposing information sets and that upsets me because the decision I took to redirect the premium for an emergency was based on information that I received OFFICIALLY from a Miway representative. If anything happens to my car and I claim I do not expect to hear any stories because a Miway representative gave me information which is binding because they are representative of a licensed financial services provider and I will not pay any additional R500 because I acted upon information from Miway.
