Mi way disappoints
On the 21st of March there was a hail storm in Newcastle kzn. I reported the matter and took the car for assessment. They advised that the panelbeaters who will be taking care of my car is supertevh(BMW). Initially they told me that no parts will be needed to fix my car for to find out 2 weeks later when I called asking how far are they with repairing the car, they told me that they are still waiting for ordered parts. They only got the authorisation yesterday 25th of April 2019. I have a courtesy car option on my policy for 30 day. On the 3nd of April they called me at Avis advising that Mi way instructed them to offer me a car for 30 days. I took a car and I am currently using it. My concern is...I am supposed to send the car back to Avid on the 2nd of May 2019 and Mi way has advise that they will not be able to extend car hire with Avid. In this instance me as a client I was mislead to believe that the car will be sorted out in not time plus the fact that there were no parts needed. Why should I crack my head worrying what to do next. I believe between supertech and Mi Way one of them needs to take a responsibility as I am working between ladysmith and Newcastle. I will not do all the up and down they want me to do. I told the lady by the name of Phumzile who is dealing with my case that if they are not extending my car hire it's fine but supertech will complete the job in my car and I will not be paying any money as excess to them since both companies have failed me as a client. I am willing to go as further as reporting this matter to the ombuds that governs short them and long term insurance. I work for the bank and I will go as far as I need to in order to sort this out.
