LOTS OF COMPLAINTS in 6 months!
LOTS OF COMPLAINTS in 6 months!
1 - didn't cover septic tank after storm damage 2 - didn't pay for my car (small bump in the front) 3 - didn't pay for household / plumber after tap burst off at 2am 4 - didn't pay for my phone 4 - excess equal to damage R2200 cancelled claim 5 - didn't approve my house after storms damage
I have EVERYTHING with Miway but nothing seems to be EVER covered with their convenient fine print... complete complaints to follow

03 Aug 2023, 19:11My tap burst off at 2am on a Saturday morning. We had housesitter that night. When we got home we could see how some of our cupboards swelled out from all the water, my mirror tables legs cracked, my bookshelf peeled away, my other selfs and books got wet. But MiWay declined all payouts because they said that we had a stopper in on the tap so it could've been prevented. The plumber put a stopper in the tap WHILE he went to buy a new tap! Omgosh! He's been our plumber for years! Lots of damage with NO payout.

03 Aug 2023, 19:13I lost my phone and are covered for mimovables, but NO electronics. If my phone gets ******, I would be more than happy with the R1500 that this should pay out, just to buy a cheapie untill I can upgrade. But NO electronics are covered and yet I have to go and blacklist and police and how many hoops to be rejected

03 Aug 2023, 19:21MOST recent claim... MiWay refuses to contact me in my tea or lunch or after 16:00. I don't have enough signal at work and can barely hear them, besides the fact that I need to work!
I've been replying on email without any response for a week now!
The storm was so bad that I mopped up over 5liter of water out of my hallway from water coming through my veranda! I have videos of the storms at my house. But MiWay says it's maintenance that blew off my facial boards, while there was no problem when I got home and it was off after the storm.
They don't even mention the 2 windows that blew open and broke off or the windowsills that was drenched.
Ok fine, they accept the gate post which is peanuts of the claim.
But it's not like it's even open for discussion!
