LIES AND PATHETIC SERVICE

I write this report disgusted at the way MiWay insurance handled my claim and my car repairs. I had an accident on 1 April, the claim was accepted and on the 14 April I received a call from a lady Solani Baloyi whom I must say was very professional, she explained that AutoBodyworks in PE has been appointed to repair the vehicle. If there are unseen damages to the car during when its stripped I will be updated, the estimated date of completion was 14 May.

On 21 April, I received an SMS stating that my car was stripped, no follow up call nothing. Sad to say I never heard anything again from Solani Baloyi since 14 April. On 12 May, I decided to call the panel beater to get progress, I was informed that they were waiting for parts and estimated date is now 4 June. Still nothing from MIWAY. I returned the hired vehicle on 3 May.

17 May , I made another call and spoke to Chandre at MIWAY, she arranged another car hire for 30 days, promised that she will be in touch regarding the progress with the panel beater as they were waiting for a part which was on back order and was suppoed to arrive on that 17 May, as soon as the part arrived the car will be repaired. Needless to say I never heard from her again although she promised to follow up and update.

Yesterday I made another call for the umpteenth time to the panel beater, imagine my shock when Neville of Autobody Works that the car was WRITTEN OFF!!!!! My insurer who has supposedly taken that decision has never contacted me. I am supposed to be getting the car next week Friday 4 June.

As far as I know and have been promised a number of times the car was being repaired just waiting for a part here and there. There was never a conversation or hint from any of the consultants that the car might be a write off besides their no show, I am the one who has been making numerous calls back and forth.

This decision is taken 2 months later after the accident. This is totally UNACCEPTABLE!! I WILL NOT ACCEPT I WANT THE CAR REPAIRED AS PROMISED. WHY WOULD IT TAKE 2 MONTHS TO COME TO THSI DECISION, WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING WITH MY CAR ALL ALONG?

When they said they were waiting for parts was these lies. I have been deliberatley misled, maybe waiting for the car value to drop even further so that they ccan pay less. I want the car repaired. There is no way I can accept this decision after 2 months. What is even mo disgusting is the fact that I am hearing this from the panel beater and not my insurer. The last call was on the 17 May with Chandre and I initiated the call. So now after waing for the part the car is a writeoff.

I am supposed to return the rental vehicle of 4 June as my car would be repaired. I want my car repaired. I am not sure whether MIWAY is taking advatange of me being a widow and black . I won't be able to buy another car. I want a car from MIWAY, one way or other. The lies, misleading for 2 months. I WANT A CAR, I WANT MY CAR REPAIRED AS PROMISED AND ASSURED.
