Lack of follow through

Since when is it a crime to want to review the fine print before signing on the dotted line? I was called by a Miway consultant to review my insurance policy. After explaining that I didn't have the time to conduct a lengthy interrogation I was advised it would only take 10 minutes. After then being asked everything under the sun (45 minutes later) I was told I would be transferred to the supervisor/dealmaker who would give me the premium price. I was then transferred to Mikaelyn who told me he could offer me a 60% cut in my current policy without changing any of my benefits. Anybody with half a brain would know that this was too good to be true so I asked him to email me the policy document so that I could check the fine print to be sure. He reluctantly agreed after trying to convince me it wasn't necessary, and then never emailed me. A few days later, he called to follow up. I advised he hadn't sent me the email and asked him to please follow up. He said the email address I had given him was *******@******groupe.co.za. I explained that group was spelled without an 'e' at the end. He then agreed to send it again to the correct address. Needless to say, I'm still waiting. What was the point of wasting 45 minutes of my time only to not follow through?
